Live Demonstrations of FabTainer in Rawsonville Western Cape

We are excited to announce that we will be demonstrating the FabTainer, Biomass chip 2 Pellet plant, in Rawsonville, near Goudini Spa next week.

This is a first in South Africa, and will be able to demonstrate the ability to convert low value biomass waste into compressed pellet fuel. Biomass pellets are used for heating applications and offer an alternative to coal, paraffin or LPG.

Aliens are using up valuable water resources and was one of the many causes of the problems experienced at Theewaterskloof dam during the drought.

Alien Clearing projects are also expensive, but vital. By converting alien wood into commercially saleable energy will help offset the cost of clearing and also remove the cleared material from site. Burning the material on site has inherent risks and slows soil recovery.

We will also demonstrate our “award winning” low cost pellet stove that eliminates smoke, and saves money of fuel for shack dwellers across the country.

Having an affordable and safe renewable fuel is vital for the poor, where even electricity is often too expensive and the alternatives are unsafe and unhealthy.

Being able to have fuel manufactured from cheap biomass sources close to the market is vital part of the Ekasi Energy strategy for affordable renewable fuels.
